The organisers of this years event have truly surpassed themselves. They have managed to acquire some of the best speakers within the Yellowverse for this event, who delivered some of the most fantastic Lotus related presentations I have ever seen. The whole event was professionally managed and delivered from start to finish. A lot of content was packed into the two days, but the highlights for me were:-
- Bob Picciano's (Lotus software GM) Keynote speech
- Gab Davis' excellent session on implementing ID Vault in ND8.5.1
- Francie Tanner's great presentation on Domino Admin & Security gone wrong
- Mary Beth Raven's wonderful session on ND8.5.1, Connections 2.5, Quickr 8.2 & Sametime 8.5 called "Putting it all together"
- The UKLUG Ceilidh. Watch out for the pics from this one, it was an absolute hoot of an event
- Paul (soon to be a father) Westlake's cool session on Enterprise Security - Notes and Outlook Message Encryption
- Paul Mooney's fantastic session on DAOS, including a demo of just how easy it is to setup DAOS
- The standing ovation at the closing
general session
Finally, some personal observations:-
- I met and chatted to both Warren and Bill's respective fathers. Both are very top notch blokes
- Mary Beth Raven is an exceptionally great person (thanks, again, for the speaker training), who is also a tremendously enthusiastic and engaging session presenter, and great sport on the dance floor
- Susan Bulloch has the best accent I have ever heard. Period! She's also a great laugh too
- Coatsie is both funny and scary at the same time
- Steve McDonagh is just plain mad! Urinal cake anyone ..?
- Paul, Bill & Warren are truly great mentors. Thank you all gentlemen, you've lifted my spirits yet again
- Several traditional Scottish dances
are the equivalent of a 90 minute aerobic workout
